We arrived at 11am for lunch and they were open on time and ready for us. We sat down and the server was quick to get our drinks. She was very nice and had excellent manners. I ordered the lunch size Red Beans and Rice, and as you can see, this is enough food for 3 meals. The server said this is the smaller size! Definitely get your money worth here. It was very tasty too. Easy to give 5 stars and would recommend you giving it a try. We will be back for sure.
Everything I ordered was delicious. The takeout was ready before the time I set. It was all packed nicely so nothing would get soggy from the etouffee. The fried okra and po'boy were perfect and well drained of any oil. I will go here again!
Still one of my daughters' and my favorite places. We go for the catfish... But I know that many of their other entrees are great too. Not fancy, just good food.
The servers were polite, professional and wore masks. I had the cajun Meatloaf which was wonderful. My husband the Gumbo And my daughter the alligator and catfish. We love it there! It's great food and service!!
In Wichita for a couple of nights. Browsing Google Maps for a nearby place to eat and ran across Da Cajun Shak. I love Jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans & rice. I’m no Cajun food connoisseur. I just like the food. Drove over and found they had a sampler option which allowed me to get two entrees (Red Beans & Sausage and Chicken Gumbo) and three sides (two jambalayas and hush puppies.) Service was friendly and fast and they tossed in some hot sauce with my order. Headed back to my hotel room to enjoy my little feast. It was really good all the way around. I would definitely recommend this place. I can eat a lot but had to make myself stop about 3/4 of the way through. Lots of food for the price (17).
Delicious fried catfish Po boy, it wasn't to spicy it was the perfect amount of crispy and the fries we just as delicious. I highly recommend it.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!: We had never heard of this place until today, but, what a blessing of an establishment. We decided to come check it out since I was asked to order from here for a birthday lunch tomorrow. I NEVER write reviews but we were super impressed from the service to the delicious food. Everything we ate was on point! My daughter is a super picky eater and she even said that Subway will be her 2nd favorite now that we've found this place! Seriously, you won't understand til you try it. I'm considering having them cater my wedding, it's THAT good, lol. Thank you to "Da Cajun Shak" and our waitress Stacie who was very helpful and didn't complain once when we kept ordering more dishes on top of our 3 entree meal, HAHA!
The waitress/cashier was super. Friendly, efficient and took excellent care of us. Considering she was the ONLY waitress and it got busy with pretty much all tables full, I was much impressed. She never lost her smile. The food! Dee-lish-us! I recommend the mini-platters, though they're anything but. I had to bring some good home cause I couldn't eat it all. Decor could be refreshed but I would Definitely Recommend this place.
